Chair of Governors

Jo Lomax is a Leadership Development Programme Lead for the Church of England’s Foundation for Educational Leadership (CEFEL). Jo’s key responsibilities include overseeing the curriculum design, development and delivery of the specialist National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) for current and aspirant leaders in schools. This includes NPQ Leading Teaching, NPQ Leading Behaviour and Culture and NPQ Leading Teacher Development. Jo is passionate about the power of transformational professional development, believing that all teachers and school leaders are entitled to high-quality developmental opportunities that enables them to thrive and flourish in their role.

Carlene is the Head of Inclusion for a Bolton Secondary School and also a designated teacher for looked after children who has delivered Continuous Professional Development to staff and other schools in relation to the role of the teaching assistant.

I am the vocational studies lead for the trust, working with others to ensure high standards are met in all our vocational subjects. I also teach hair and beauty across the trust and support our careers lead in ensuring that all our pupils meet the Gatsby benchmarks and source appropriate post 16 destinations.

Julie is a parent whose child has attended Bolton Impact Trust Academies. Julie is actively involved in the Who’s in Charge programme and Parent/Carer drop-in, supporting staff and families.

Rhian Driver

Rhian has been the Head of School at Red Lane Primary School since 2016 when the school co-founded BASE Academy Trust. Rhian has an unshakeable belief and determination that all children have access to a high-quality education. Her passions are curriculum development, EYFS and inclusion. Rhian has completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship, the National Award for Special Needs Coordination and also holds a Post-Graduate certificate in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia). She is a Visiting Fellow for Ambition Institute and facilitates on the NPQSL.
